Downspouts tied into buried drain lines with catch basins, so roof water stops pooling beside the house.
Water from the roof was dumping at the foundation and sitting in the side yard. We trenched along the house, connected the downspouts to buried drain pipe, and set catch basins in the low spots to carry surface water away underground.
